GTA 6 on PC
Short answer: Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. The confirmed platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and nothing else.
What has actually been confirmed
Two platforms, both current-generation consoles: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the whole list. Confirmed
No PC version has been announced, dated, or acknowledged. Rockstar has not said it is coming, and it has not said it is not.
Why most people assume it is coming anyway
Because Rockstar has done it every time. But look at the gaps:
| Game | Consoles | PC | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto V | September 2013 | April 2015 | about 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 2019 | about 12 months |
| Grand Theft Auto VI | November 2026 | not announced | — |
On that pattern a PC release would land somewhere in late 2027 or 2028. That is an extrapolation from two data points, not information. Unconfirmed
You will find shops listing GTA 6 for PC right now. Those listings are placeholders. Key resellers create them ahead of announcements. A shop page is not an announcement, and there is no date behind it.
What would count as real news
- A post on the Rockstar Newswire.
- A Steam or Epic store page published by Rockstar itself.
- A system-requirements sheet.
Until one of those exists, every PC release date you read is somebody guessing. This page is updated the day that changes.
Frequently asked questions
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version. It has confirmed PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. A PC release is likely on past form, but likely is not announced.
UnconfirmedWhen would a PC version arrive?
Nobody knows. GTA 5 reached PC about 19 months after consoles and Red Dead Redemption 2 about 12. That is a pattern, not a schedule.
UnconfirmedSome shops already list GTA 6 for PC. Does that mean it exists?
No. Key resellers create listings ahead of announcements as placeholders. A shop page is not a Rockstar announcement.
UnconfirmedShould I preorder the PC version?
There is nothing official to preorder. Anything selling you a PC copy today is selling a product with no release date.
