Where to buy GTA 6
Two editions, both digital-first, out on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The two editions
| Standard | Ultimate | |
|---|---|---|
| Price (European stores) | €79.99 | €99.99 |
| The game | Yes | Yes |
| Story content | Complete | Identical |
| Cosmetic extras | No | Vehicles, outfits, weapon finish |
| GTA+ membership | No | Included for a period |
| Preorder bonus | Yes | Yes |
Prices verified on the European PlayStation Store. Regional pricing in pounds, dollars and other currencies is set by each storefront and we have not verified those figures, so we are not quoting them.
Does the Ultimate Edition change the game?
No. Everything it adds is cosmetic: vehicles, clothing, a weapon finish and a run of GTA+. The story is identical. If cosmetics are not your thing, €20 buys you nothing you will notice. Confirmed
The boxed edition has no disc in it
This catches people out every time. There is a physical edition, and it goes on sale on 12 November, a week early. But the box contains a download code. There is no disc inside, so it does not save you the download. Confirmed
If you were buying the box to avoid downloading a large game, it will not help. You download the whole thing either way. Buy it for the box on the shelf, not for convenience.
What preordering gets you
The Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier with a garage, clothing and hairstyles, an exclusive weapon pattern, and one month of GTA+. Confirmed
Official stores and key resellers
Buying from the PlayStation Store or the Xbox store is the simple route: the game lands on your account and support goes through Sony or Microsoft.
Key resellers sell the same game cheaper. They are legitimate, but you receive a code you redeem yourself, and if something goes wrong you deal with the reseller. That trade-off is the whole difference.
Those are the shops we have checked ourselves. Prices are European and apply to any European storefront; other regions are priced locally and we have not verified those figures. Our Spanish buying page has the same list with the full comparison.

€79.99 for the standard edition and €99.99 for the Ultimate Edition on European stores. Prices in other currencies are set per region and we have not verified them.
ConfirmedIs there a disc version?
There is a boxed edition, but the box contains a download code, not a disc. It goes on sale on 12 November, a week before the game.
ConfirmedIs the Ultimate Edition worth it?
It costs €20 more and adds cosmetic content: vehicles, outfits, a weapon finish and GTA+ time. None of it changes the story. If you do not use cosmetics, the standard edition is the same game.
ConfirmedWhat do I get for preordering?
The Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier with a garage, clothing and hairstyles, an exclusive weapon pattern and one month of GTA+.
ConfirmedCan I still get it cheaper somewhere?
Key resellers list it below store price. They are legitimate businesses but they are not official stores: you receive a code to redeem, and support goes through them rather than Sony or Microsoft.
